Hanna Beth is a blogger on Buzznet, and she got to interview Gavin Keilly, the owner of GBK Productions.  Gavin started out doing fund-raising events for charities, and then later learned that combining celebrities with the events and charities makes it a much better situation for all.  I admire his business sense - he strives to create a "win-win" for everyone.  

The vendors get their products into celebrity hands and get photos of the them with their products for marketing; the charities that are invited get a huge amount of money for their cause (Gavin says, "The amount of money that you can raise by having a celebrity at your charity event far outweighs the gift bag that they got. My charity events raises anywhere from $500,000 to three or four million dollars."); and finally the celebrity gets sweet swag and their name attached to charity work.  It's nice that the celebrities lend their image to this because they can be getting paid for product placements.
